All cryptographic operations happen in your browser. Our servers never see your plain text or keys.

No Data Collection

We do not store, log, or transmit your sensitive information. There is no database of your secrets.

Open Cryptography

We use standard, peer-reviewed libraries and the Web Crypto API for all operations.

Client-Side Only

Once the app is loaded, you can even disconnect from the internet and continue encrypting.

1. Information We Collect

Cipherly is designed to be a anonymous tool. We do not require account registration, email addresses, or any personal identification.

  • We do NOT collect your keys or plain text data.
  • We do NOT track your personal identity.
  • We use anonymous analytics (Google Analytics) to monitor site performance and traffic patterns.

2. How Data is Processed

Unlike traditional web applications, Cipherly operates on a Zero-Knowledge Architecture. When you enter a password or text to encrypt:

  1. Text remains in your browser's RAM.
  2. Encryption is performed by your CPU via the Web Crypto API.
  3. The result is displayed on your screen.
  4. Nothing is sent to a server.

3. Third-Party Services & Advertising

We use the following third-party services to operate and improve this site:

  • Google AdSense & DoubleClick Cookie: Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on cipherlyapp.com.
    • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their prior visits to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.
    • Users may opt-out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
    • Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to analyze site traffic. This service collects anonymized data about your browser, device, and browsing patterns. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
